What is DocumentLane?
A quick tour of how DocumentLane collects, reviews and tracks documents from the people you work with.
The short version
DocumentLane replaces email back-and-forth with one secure link per client. You decide which documents you need, your client uploads them through their portal, and your team reviews everything in one place.
Expiry dates are tracked automatically, so you get reminders before an insurance certificate or licence runs out.
Key words
- Client: a company or person you collect documents from (for construction, usually a subcontractor or vendor).
- Template: a reusable checklist of the documents you ask for.
- Portal: the private page your client opens to upload documents. No account needed.
- Review: approving a document, asking for changes, or rejecting it.
- Policy: your own requirements document (for example, a subcontractor manual). AI can turn it into a template.
